PRECISION BELT WEIGHING SYSTEM

PFS4 scales use very large weigh frames utilizing large Universal Beam side members and multiple precision idlers. Such finely engineered systems are designed for high accuracy over a range of 20% to 120% of designed flow.

The Graph below shows an analysis of field trials of a PFS4 system, showing the results of several ships being loaded at one particular terminal. The graph shows the PFS4 performance as never being more than 0.5% from the draft survey, and the average error is 0.19%. The results were a direct result of static weight calibration without any "factoring" or adjustments.

There has long been debate over the accuracy of draft survey figures. Experience would indicate that the accuracy of a draft survey might not be much better than ± 1.0%. The precision of the PFS4, challenges draft survey accuracy.

PFS4 belt weighing systems produce truly dependable data. Their dependability also makes them ideal for less demanding applications such as blending of bulk commodities.

Both T.D. Micronic (North America) and Control Systems Technology (Australia) have gained reputations for manufacturing and installing reliable precision belt scales for harsh environmental conditions. PFS4 scales are used in loading terminals, mines and process industries, for commodities such as iron ore, coal, potash, sugar and salt.
